Title of my talk: Signaling between serotonin receptors and the extracellular matrix as a key to understanding pathogenesis of stress related disorders.
Bio: Monika Bijata is post-doc in the Laboratory of Cell Biophysics at the Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology, the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAS), Warsaw. She received the M.Sc degree in Biotechnology from University of Warsaw and a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from the Nencki Institute, PAS. After completing postdoctoral training at the Institute of Neurophysiology, Hannover Medical School (2016-2018), she returned to the Nencki Institute. Her research focuses on the serotonergic receptors, as well as extracellular matrix in the pathophysiology and therapy of depression.
